Introduction

The Payouts Section consolidates all eligible earnings that can be disbursed in the next payout cycle. It provides transparency on the net available balance after accounting for all fees, refunds, and taxes.

Key Features

  • Displays the total balance eligible for payout in the upcoming cycle in USD
  • Automatically applies FX conversion for non-USD currencies
  • Lets businesses set or modify their payout threshold directly from the wallet settings
The displayed amount is for reference only. Final payout amounts may vary based on the actual exchange rate at the time of transfer. Charges applied by your own bank or by intermediary banks can reduce the credited amount further — see Payout Currency and Bank Conversion.

  • The default payout cycle for all businesses is bi-monthly.
  • Businesses with higher transaction volumes may request weekly payouts by contacting support@dodopayments.com.
  • Certain high-risk businesses may be placed on a monthly payout cycle at our discretion.

Payout Processing and Bank Timelines

  1. The dates provided above are the initiation dates for payouts.
  2. It typically takes 1-2 business days for the amount to appear in your bank account.
  3. Delays may occur if payout processing dates fall on weekends or bank holidays.

Payout Currency and Bank Conversion

Payout balances are held in your USD, GBP, and EUR wallets. Once a transfer leaves Dodo Payments, two things outside our control can change the amount your account is finally credited:
  • Conversion by your bank. Where the currency your account is credited in differs from the currency the transfer is sent in, your bank performs the conversion when the transfer arrives, at its own exchange rate, and may apply its own receiving or conversion charges.
  • Intermediary bank charges. Cross-border transfers can pass through correspondent banks, which may levy their own charges on the transfer.
Because both happen at the banks rather than at Dodo Payments, the amount credited to your account can be lower than the payout amount shown in your dashboard, and these charges do not appear on your payout invoice.
Payout routes and currencies vary by country. Contact support@dodopayments.com to confirm how your payouts will be sent and credited before you link a bank account.

Minimum Payout Threshold

If your balance does not meet the threshold, it will carry forward to the next payout cycle.
INR native wallet discontinued: Support for the INR native wallet and INR-denominated payouts has been discontinued. Payouts are now consolidated through the USD/GBP/EUR wallets only. INR remains supported as a transaction currency for UPI, RuPay, and Indian-card subscriptions.
Payouts will only be initiated when the overall wallet balance across all currencies is greater than $50 USD (equivalent). Even if an individual wallet meets its currency-specific threshold, the payout will not be processed unless the total balance exceeds $50.

Flexible Minimum Payout Threshold

You can customize the balance that must build up in your USD wallet before Dodo Payments triggers a payout. Configuration:
  • Allowed values: $50 or any higher amount
  • Effective from: Your current payout cycle
  • Note: Payouts already scheduled (if entry is created in the payout table) remain unchanged

Payout Accounts

Manage the bank accounts that receive your payouts directly from the Payouts page under Linked Bank Accounts. You can maintain multiple payout accounts rather than a single fixed one, adding an account per currency and transfer method.
  • Add an account for the currency and transfer method you want to be paid in.
  • Save a draft if you do not have every detail on hand, and finish the submission later.
  • Resubmit an account placed on hold. The hold or failure reason is shown inline on the account so you know exactly what to correct.
  • The first approved account is activated automatically. Only the active account receives payouts.
Additional approved accounts remain available so you can switch the active account whenever you need to, for example when you start receiving payouts in a different currency.
Bank verification during business onboarding is driven by the same payout accounts flow, so the account you submit while onboarding appears on the Payouts page as your first payout account. See Account Verification.
Bank account details must match your verified identity or registered entity name. Dodo Payments cannot process payouts to mismatched or third-party accounts. See Account Verification for the full name-matching rules.

Payout Deductions

The following amounts are deducted from your sales before payout: Taxes: All applicable taxes as per the Tax Calculator will be deducted from the sales amount before payout. Fees: Dodo Payment Fees and Payout Fees will be deducted before sending the payout.
Charges levied by your own bank or by intermediary banks are not deducted here and are not shown on your payout invoice. See Payout Currency and Bank Conversion.
For detailed fee information, check out our Pricing Page.

Payout Status

Track the progress of your payouts through the following status indicators: Every status transition also emits a webhook, so you can reconcile payouts in your own systems without polling. See Payout Webhooks for the payload and delivery caveats. To receive email or in-app notifications for the same transitions instead, see Communication Preferences.

Payout Invoice

A reverse invoice is generated to indicate the amount paid by Dodo Payments to the business.
