Add a One Time Payment Product

Merchants can create a new One-Time Payment Product for goods or services that customers pay for once, making it ideal for digital goods and e-books

How to Add a One-Time Payment Product:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard:
    • Log in to your Dodo Payments dashboard.
  2. Go to the Products Section:
    • On the sidebar menu, click on Products to view your current catalogue.
  3. Add a New Product:
    • Click on the Add New Product button.
    • Choose the One-Time Payment Product option from the dropdown.
  4. Enter Product Details:
    • Fill in the product’s basic details:
      • Product Name: Provide a clear and descriptive name.
      • Description: Add a detailed explanation of the product or service. This should include any relevant features, specifications, or benefits.
      • Price: Set a one-time price for the product.
      • Discount: Set the % discount to be offered for the product
      • Product Category : Select the product category to help us identify the tax category it belongs to
  5. Add Media:
    • Upload images to visually represent the product
  6. Save Your Product:
    • Once all the details are complete, click Save to add the product to your catalogue. It will now be available for customers to purchase.

Edit a One Time Payment Product

You can update or modify any details of an existing one-time payment product at any time, such as the price, description, or visuals, without affecting past sales. Changes you make will only apply to future purchases.

How to Edit an Existing Product:

  1. Access the Products Section:
    • From your dashboard, navigate to the Products section to view all your products.
  2. Locate the Product to Edit:
    • Find the product you want to modify in the list and click on the edit button
  3. Make Changes:
    • Click on the product and update the necessary details:
      • Price: Adjust the one-time price if necessary.
      • Description: Modify or add any additional information about the product.
      • Media: Update images or videos to better reflect the current state of the product.
  4. Save Changes:
    • After making your edits, click Save to apply the changes.
Changes will only affect future sales. Past transactions and purchases will remain unaffected by any modifications.

Delete a One Time Payment Product

If you decide to discontinue a product or if it’s no longer relevant to your offerings, you can easily remove it from your Product Catalogue. Deleting a product ensures that it can no longer be purchased by new customers, but existing sales records remain unaffected.

How to Delete a One-Time Payment Product:

  1. Access the Products Section:
    • Go to the Products section of your dashboard.
  2. Find the Product to Delete:
    • Scroll through your list of products or use the search bar to locate the product you want to delete.
  3. Delete the Product:
    • Click the Delete button next to the product name.
    • Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Once deleted, the product cannot be recovered. Deleting a product does not affect customers who have already purchased the product.
