# Countries Eligible for Merchant Acceptance
> Full list of countries and territories where Dodo Payments supports merchant accounts and payouts.
## How Your Eligible Country Is Determined
Eligibility is based on **the country that issued the government-issued identity document you verify with**, not on where your company is registered or where you pay tax.

Registering a company in a supported country does not by itself make an account eligible. If a director or beneficial owner can only verify with an ID issued in a country that is not listed below, the account cannot be onboarded.
Tax residence, a residence permit, and a local bank account are all helpful, but none of them replace a government-issued ID from a listed country.

This policy applies to all country designations made on or after March 23, 2026. Merchants who were receiving services in a country before it was added to the prohibited list will not be affected, and may continue transacting under enhanced monitoring — **unless the relevant country is subject to active sanctions or regulatory restrictions**, in which case Dodo Payments reserves the right to discontinue support.
**Countries currently grandfathered under this provision:** Bangladesh, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Morocco, Nauru, Nigeria, Tuvalu, and Ukraine.
Merchants domiciled in any other country on the prohibited list are not covered by this provision and are not eligible to onboard or continue transacting.
This list is regularly updated to reflect FATF, OFAC, UN, and EU AML/CFT directives. All merchants are responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance.
Payouts are supported only in the countries and regions listed above. If your country is not included, payouts are not currently available from that location.
This list may change over time in line with regulatory and compliance requirements, and we're unable to offer payouts outside of the supported regions.
Merchant accounts are supported only where KYC documentation is issued in the countries listed above.
